Thank you for your love + support of empowerHER and our work to bring our life-changing programs to girls in Southern California!

empowerHER is based in Boston and was formed in 2013 with a very specific mission - to empower, support and connect girls and young women who have experienced the early loss of their mothers. empowerHER brings girls of all ages together in year-round events designed to build a supportive community and remind girls they are not alone in their grief. Our mentor program pairs girls with caring, positive role models from the community who lift her up - giving her hope, strength and self-confidence.

empowerHER is a true pioneer in children's bereavement and the only organization of its kind in the U.S.  We have been writing the "playbook" for serving girls in a non-therapeutic and community-based model - serving her in her "natural environment" where she lives and grieves.  empowerHER is completely free of charge to the family and we remain volunteer-driven.

empowerHER has a clear and concise expansion plan for Chapters across the country. Our goal is simple - to raise a minimum $125,000 to safely and responsibly open the "empowerHER Southern California Chapter" - and will share services and best practices with our Boston Headquarters.

A donation of any amount will help to form the Chapter and we will begin to serve girls right here in Southern California - girls who are alone in their grief and in need of support. Become an official FOUNDER of the Southern California Chapter and commit to donate $1,000 in a calendar year! FOUNDERS will receive a limited edition tote and will be named a FOUNDER on our website and all collateral year-round.
